Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics and marketing cookies are optional and only activate after you consent. You can change choices at any time using the cookie preferences panel.

1) Cookie Categories

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some cookies are required to make the site function safely and consistently. Others help us understand how visitors use our pages or enable advertising features such as remarketing and conversion tracking. We separate cookies into three categories. You can accept or reject optional categories using the cookie banner and the preference panel.

Essential cookies

Purpose: core site functionality, security, session management.
Examples: session_id, csrf_token, cookie_consent_status.
Consent required: NO, activated automatically.
Retention: session duration or up to 12 months for preference storage.

Essential cookies help with features such as keeping your cookie choice stored, protecting forms from abuse, and ensuring the website loads consistently across devices. Without essential cookies, parts of the site may not function as expected.

Analytics cookies

Purpose: measuring traffic, user behavior, site performance.
Tools: Google Analytics 4.
Examples: _ga, _ga_XXXXXXX, _gid, _gat.
Consent required: YES, activated only after user accepts.
Retention: up to 14 months.

Analytics helps us learn which pages are useful to learners, which topics lead to better understanding, and where people might be getting stuck. We use these insights to refine the structure of our course descriptions, technique explanations, and learning resources.

Marketing / advertising cookies

Purpose: remarketing, personalized ad delivery, conversion tracking.
Consent required: YES, activated only after user accepts.
Retention: up to 540 days (Google Ads default).

Marketing cookies support advertising and measurement so we can understand which campaigns lead to helpful actions, such as visiting course pages or sending us a message. We aim to keep advertising aligned with woodworking education and practical furniture craftsmanship.
